THE ORGANIZATION

ES   FR
Diversity and Development is an international organization created in 2009 in Tanger, Morocco.  Nowadays the headquarter is in Montpellier, Francia. D&D works for the conservation and recovery of local diversity, both biological and cultural, internationally.

We seek to be an inclusion, innovation and sustainability factor in a world that is continually evolving. Our mission is to better understand and preserve diversity in all its forms, as well as allowing the people who value it daily to live with dignity thank to their work.

D&D participates in the definition of territorial development strategies and the training of local people in different intervention areas. We design and implement multidisciplinary support tools that promote the conservation and enhancement of diversity and local heritage. At the same time, we support social and institutional dynamics that help to ensure the sustainability of our projects.

D&D gather together different partners and work with them  in over 20 different countries. Our network of allies and collaborators includes international organizations, local and national governments, entrepreneurs, universities and local associations. They all participate in different ways in the defense of a more resilient, just, diverse and creative society.

In 2011, D&D co-founded the Biocultural Diversity and Territories Platform.

Since 2013, D&D launched the Forum Origin, Diversity and Territories initiative.
