biocultural diaversity and territories platform
|
In 2011, D&D co-founded the “Biocultural Diversity and Territories International Platform”. It is a group of institutions, organizations and people committed to promoting biocultural diversity, whose objective is to promote processes that contribute to sustainable, inclusive, competitive and resilient territorial dynamics. This network has a log-term objective: to include vulnerable rural populations, partners recognized for their experience and specific networks in Latin America, Europe, Africa and other regions of the world.

ForUM OrigIN, diversiTY AND territoriEs |
Every year since 2013, D&D also organizes the Forum “Origin, Diversity and Territories”, which brings together FAO, ONUDI, OMPI, UNESCO, international research centers such as CIRAD, IRD, INRA, universities and local and international NGOs.
The Origin, Diversity and Territories Forum is an international platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge on new ways of thinking about the development of rural territories, the interactions between cultural and biological diversity, and the promotion of products whose quality is linked to their origin. The objective of the Forum is to become a link between a wide range of international actors, all involved in new ways of thinking and working for development. In these new ways of thinking, identity, origin, quality and local diversity encourage inclusive dynamics of local development. |
